Description
Yarn to Yard Balance.
Wondering how many yards per pound your hand spun is, or that random cone of commercial yarn has? This is your tool!
The balance measures your yards per pound. You put your yarn over the balance arm, and trim it until it balances. Then take that length of that yarn (in inches) times 100 yards. So if your yarn is 6″ long when it balances, then you have 600 yards per pound. Commonly referred to as “McMorran Yarn Balance” , after a brand no longer available.
Clear plastic box with lid, and plastic and metal arm that stores in the box. Common yarn sizes listed on the side. Box with lid is 6.25″ tall, and each side is 2.25″ wide.
