Designed specifically for very fine fiber, the Valkyrie Super Fine Hackle is 12.75″ long, with a 9-1/8″ long area of tines. The tine area is only 1/4″ deep, so you can comb short, fine fibers without excessive waste.  

The polished, hardened steel tines are 1/16″ diameter, 3″ long, and set 1/8″ on center in three rows, mounted in an all-maple base. These tines never need “straightening.” They are flexible enough to take abuse, and still bounce back to their intended alignment.

A Unique Feature of the Valkyrie Super Fine Hackle

Because the tines have to be set so closely together, Chris has designed a special poly-resin insert that firmly holds the tines without cracking or splitting as wood might. The insert is bolted into the wooden base providing a much more secure hold than glue alone. This ensures you will have years of satisfying service from the Valkyrie Super Fine Hackle.

The Super Fine Hackle is easily mounted on your work table with clamps (not included). There is about  1-1/2″ of free space on each end for clamping. Made of silky-smooth unfinished hardwood.

This hackle has the same tines and spacing as the Valkyrie Super Fine Mini Combs, so they work together superbly.
