Description
Linen thread is made from flax fiber, a very strong thread that gets softer with wear. Treasured for centuries, the perfect choice for your heirloom project.
What does the 80/2 ect mean? The higher the first number, the finer the thread, and the second number tells you how many plies are in the thread.
The three colors in the picture are:
Bleached White
Half Bleached
Dyed Natural Linen Color
35/2 is approximately 290 yards per spool.
60/2 is approximately 498 yards per spool
80/2 is approximately 330 yards per spool
Bleached is white thread, the natural is a light tan (picture coming soon) and dyed “natural” is dyed to replicate the darker tan color of unbleached flax.
Most spools are 25 grams, but some of the finer threads are 12.5 grams spools, this is noted when you select the item.
35/2 is approximately 290 yards per spool.
60/2 is approximately 498 yards per spool
80/2 is approximately 330 yards per spool
The higher prices thread is higher quality. The last picture shows the 100/2 on top, and the 80/2 on the bottom. This contrast shows the finer quality and brighter color of the higher price thread .
