Description

Ashford Standard Flyer for Traditional single drive and Traveler single drive spinning wheels. This is the flyer that comes standard with those wheels. This new, updated version fits older model wheels, too, and gives you 4 pulley grooves instead of 1 or 2! Comes with 1 bobbin.

For older wheels with leather bearings (the places the flyer rests), we recommend also purchasing updated nylon bearings.

Specifications:

Includes the hooks and built-in pulley.

Ratios on a Traditional wheel are 7:1, 9:1, 12:1 & 17:1

Ratios on a Traveller wheel are 6:1, 7.5:1, 10:1 & 14:1

Made of unfinished Silver Beech Hardwood. Made in New Zealand, by Ashford Handicrafts.

Updating or repairing an older model? We also suggest updating to new single drive bobbins with nylon bearings, for improved performance.
