About Us
Mielke’s Fiber Arts, LLC was started in 1997 by the Mielke family. It is now co-owned by the Mielke sisters, Amy (Mielke) Dressel and Andrea Mielke Schroer. We couldn’t do it without the gracious support of our husbands, parents, and brother Adam.
Our shop is located in the bucolic, rolling hills of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, about a half-hour northwest of the famous Wisconsin Dells. As sisters, wives, and mothers, our lives and business is rather intertwined. We see our shop as an extension of ourselves and our lives. If you call or stop by, you’ll see it is really is a family affair, as we run our business out of our homes, with our children by our sides.
We are dedicated to providing a knowledgeable source of supplies and tools for fiber artists. We also offer instruction in the various textile arts, primarily through one-on-one classes, but also in group settings at our studio, or at your guild or event.

Amy Mielke Dressel
Hello there! I co-own and operate Mielke’s Fiber Arts, LLC with my sister Andrea. I‘m the main phone-answer and package-packer here at Mielke’s Fiber Arts. It‘s my passion to get you the item best suited for your needs, shipped out to you as quickly as possible. My daily "co-workers" are my three small children; so excuse any odd background noises you may hear on the phone. Please leave a message if you get the machine, since I’m not always able to get to the phone; or better yet, email me!
I‘m here to answer your questions on spinning, felting, bobbin lace, nalbinding, weaving... pretty much on anything we sell. I’m not an avid netter, but I can do my best to steer you to the right book or shuttle for your needs.
